Companion cube part 2


 Continuing from the last post, I selected all the edge cubes, and hid the inside ones. This way I can work on getting the shape of these cubes correct without changing the interior cubes.


 This is where I learned how to use the Booleans tool. After creating two cylinders, I placed on in the centre of the cube and used the Difference Boolean. This created a rounded edge to my cubes. I repeated this on each side of the cube until all the sides looked like this.


 From this, I selected all the interior vertexes and then made the interior cube visible again.



Then using the scale tool I could change the angle at which the edge would lye on the face of the cube.


And finally for this stage, I created another cylinder and made this face, on which the heart will be on the companion cube.
